The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is considering whether or not to cover the cost of virtual colonoscopies for Medicare patients. C3 believes that Americans should have access to colorectal cancer screening according to the guidelines developed by the American Cancer Society, the US Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer, and the American College of Radiology. Last week, C3 submitted official comments to the agency in support of virtual colonoscopies.
